Wine making
Our wines are made by Neil Snare of Winstead Vineyard using traditional wine-making practices, small-batch fermentation and with minimal intervention. We recognise that good wine starts in the vineyard hence our focus on viticultural practises that ensure low yields and intensely flavoured grapes, and that results in high quality wines.

As we don’t take shortcuts during winemaking, our wines take time to develop naturally and fully. Our high latitude location results in one of the latest harvests in Tasmania, so we have little to be gained by rushing our wines onto the market.

Current Release Wines

A stunning wine that demonstrates Tasmania’s distinctive cool climate Sauvignon Blanc style.
The wine has classic varietal characteristics of pineapple, passionfruit and citrus.

GEWÜRZTRAMINER 2008
A crisp, dry wine with wonderful aromatics of lychees and pear. Perfect to accompany asian food.

NOUVEAU 2009
Produced from 100% Gamay grapes, our second adventure into carbonic maceration has again produced a stunning wine typical of the Beaujolais-nouveau style. The 2009 Nouveau is fresh and vibrant, brimming with strawberries and a touch of spice. Ideal for summer picnics.

PINOT NOIR 2008
The ideal growing and ripening conditions for this vintage are expressed in this typical cool climate wine. A smooth, full-bodied Pinot Noir with red berry fruits, subtle spice and vanilla, and a long finish.
